Save the Date: Upcoming Conference on ESD and Green Skills
De Montfort University (DMU), SOS-UK, and partner universities (Leicester and Loughborough) are hosting an in-person conference on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Green Skills in April 2026. The event aims to create a space for dialogue, networking, and sharing practice and research in ESD across Higher Education, bringing together both student and staff perspectives.
The main conference will take place at DMU in Leicester on Thursday 16 April, with additional networking sessions on the evening of the 16th and the morning of Friday 17 April. Online sessions will also be offered for those unable to attend in person. Organisers aim to keep costs low and provide bursaries to improve accessibility.
The conference is intended for students, academic and professional staff, ESD leads, practitioners, and others interested in ESD and Green Skills in HE. A call for contributions will be released in mid-January, and interested participants are encouraged to save the date and contact the organisers with ideas to help shape the event.
