Sustainable Campus Index 2025
The 2025 Sustainable Campus Index (SCI), published annually by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), celebrates colleges and universities demonstrating exceptional leadership in sustainability through the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS®). Highlighting top performers across 13 impact areas and featuring institutions with innovative, high-impact initiatives, the SCI showcases the creativity and commitment shaping sustainability in higher education today.
The 2025 edition also recognizes various IAU members, including the University of Sherbrooke (Canada), Technological University Dublin (Ireland), Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (Morocco), Western Caspian University (Azerbaijan), De La Salle Lipa (Philippines), Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico), and the University of Central Asia (Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan) as top performers in their respective countries. Designed for a wide audience - including students, alumni, sustainability professionals, and the public - the SCI serves as a resource to explore how campuses are integrating sustainability into academics, operations, and community engagement.
