HIT Health Awareness Programme

On 6 March, the Harare Institution of Technology (HIT) Student Affairs Division hosted a health expo for students and sataff to come for free health check-ups. The event invited participants to take part in a Zumba dance class to enjoy some movement, as well as a health talk from a doctor to encourage stuedents to practice a healthy lifestyle and be mindful of academic pressure and personal well-being. 

The health expo invited 12 health organisations to offer their survices, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, check-ups for eye-sight, tests for various infections, family planning, mental health support, education for menstrual hygiene, as well as gender-based violence awareness. In additon, HIT's own health-related staff were present and and offered support and services. 

This event is hosted biannually at the HIT campus, underscoring the university's engagement and initiatives to promote student well-being and sustainability.
