European Universities Competition on Artificial Intelligence to Promote Sustainable Development and Address Climate Change

European universities are uniquely positioned to lead efforts in harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to address today’s most pressing global challenges: unsustainable development and climate change. As centers of research and innovation, they play a pivotal role in advancing AI-driven solutions that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The European Universities Competition on Artificial Intelligence to Promote Sustainable Development and Address Climate Change invites students from across Europe to help shape a greener, more equitable future through AI.

Organized by the Research and Transfer Centre "Sustainable Development and Climate Change Management" at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, this initiative is part of the broader HAISDCC (Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development and Climate Change) research programme.

Who Can Apply?
The competition is open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students currently enrolled at European universities who are eager to use AI for positive environmental and societal impact.
