About
Established in its current form in 2019, with roots dating back to 1925, Tampere University is one of Finland’s most multidisciplinary universities. Guided by openness, critical thinking, diversity, learner-centredness, courage, Bildung, and responsibility, it serves about 23,200 students and 4,400 employees. The university offers more than 100 degree programmes across seven faculties, covering fields such as technology, health, society, communication, education, management, medicine, and built environment. Its research strengths include health, technology, society, body-on-chip research, game cultures, sustainable environments, and responsible digitalisation, supported by three campuses and strong international partnerships.
