About
International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), established in 1991, is Bangladesh's first non-government university dedicated to human resource development through quality teaching, training, and research. Serving over 8,000 students with around 500 staff, it offers programs in Business, Engineering, Agriculture, Arts & Sciences, Nursing, Tourism & Hospitality, and Health Sciences. The university emphasizes sustainability, innovation, and community impact, with research strengths in sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and agricultural technology. Its green campus provides modern facilities, while global partnerships support academic exchange and collaborative research.
Sustainability at International University of Business Agriculture and Technology
IUBAT’s commitment to sustainability is deeply embedded in its research, teaching, campus culture and community engagement, guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through its Institute of SDG Studies (IISS) and other units, the university integrates sustainability themes into curricula, fosters interdisciplinary research, and builds capacity for sustainable development.
