Kadir Has University (KHAS) is a private, non-profit institution located in Istanbul, Turkey. Established in 1997 by the Kadir Has Foundation, the university envisions to be a world-class research institution that develops sustainable solutions addressing local, national, regional, and global challenges through a foundation of universal and humanitarian values. It is dedicated to educating students with strong individual and professional skills in their areas of expertise, producing impactful research, and creating innovative, human-centered solutions to social issues. KHAS offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs across five faculties: Art and Design, Communication, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Engineering and Natural Sciences, and Law.

Sustainability at Kadir Has University

Kadir Has University places strong emphasis on sustainability by embedding environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability into its academic programs, research, and campus operations. Guided by the SDGs, the university promotes sustainability through initiatives such as integrating sustainability into its curriculum, implementing zero-waste and energy-efficient practices on its historic Cibali Campus and innovative Selimpaşa Campus, and fostering green technology research. By combining education, sustainable infrastructure, and community engagement, KHAS strives to cultivate a culture of sustainability that addresses local and global challenges.
