Sustainability and Emerging Technologies: Interdisciplinary Student Symposium
İstinye University hosted the 2nd Interdisciplinary Student Symposium, “Sustainability and Emerging Technologies,” in person on 16–17 December 2025, in cooperation with the International Research Center on Sustainability. The symposium brought together students from across the university to present their work and participate in workshops on sustainability, with sessions conducted in both Turkish and English.
The event highlighted sustainability as an interdisciplinary concept aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, addressing environmental, social, and economic dimensions. It emphasized the role of universities in advancing the SDGs through education, student engagement, and partnerships with public, private, and civil society actors, while strengthening student awareness and responsibility for sustainable development.
