Sustainability Accounting: Opportunities and Challenges

In January 2022, the Continuing Education Unit at Madenat Al-Elem University College, in cooperation with the Accounting Department, hosted an online lecture titled “Sustainability Accounting: Opportunities and Challenges” under the patronage of the Dean. Delivered by a faculty member from the Accounting Department, the lecture introduced the concept of sustainability accounting and examined its role in assessing environmental, social, and economic impacts. It highlighted how sustainability accounting enhances the quality of institutional reporting, supports integrated reporting, and helps measure sustainable performance, while also addressing the opportunities and challenges associated with its implementation.
