International Training in Sustainable Water Resource Management

The University of Raparin (UoR) supported the participation of a Geography Department lecturer in a 12-day international training program on water conservation and irrigation held in China from August 18 to 31, 2025. Organized by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in cooperation with the Consulate General of China, the program focused on sustainable water resource management, flood and desertification mitigation, and the protection of groundwater. Through seminars, field visits, and exposure to advanced irrigation, wastewater treatment, and desalination technologies, the initiative strengthened academic capacity and fostered international collaboration in support of sustainable water management.
