Brazilian HEIs at COP 30
Brazil’s participation in COP30 features a strong, coordinated delegation led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) and the National Council for Science and Technology (CCT). Throughout the conference, Brazil contributes to global climate dialogue through keynote lectures and thematic roundtables that bring together leading researchers, university rectors, and scientific experts from across the country. These sessions explore priority areas such as energy transition, climate and society, public policy, scientific innovation, and climate adaptation. The broad involvement of almost 20 Brazilian universities underscores the country’s commitment to integrating science, higher education, and research into international climate action and advancing sustainable development.
