Beyond Sustainability: Humanities and Social Sciences Perspectives on the Ecological Crisis
The European University Viadrina is hosting an interdisciplinary lecture series titled “Beyond Sustainability: Humanities and Social Sciences Perspectives on the Ecological Crisis” during the winter semester 2025/26. Aimed at students across the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), the series explores the deepening global ecological crisis - climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation - through critical perspectives from the humanities and social sciences. It challenges conventional notions of sustainability and calls for new conceptual and ethical approaches to human–environment relations.
