28 April 2026
Online

The Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), a partnership between UN entities and the higher education community, co-chaired by UN DESA, UN University, UNESCO IESALC, and the Sulitest Association is hosting an interactive workshop, organised under the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative, explores how higher education institutions can accelerate sustainability by scaling up “train-the-trainer” programmes. The session brings together global stakeholders to examine how educators can be better equipped to integrate sustainability into teaching and learning.

The event will focus on co-designing scalable strategies, identifying barriers to faculty engagement, and developing coordinated global approaches to sustainability education. Participants will engage in panel discussions, a facilitated fishbowl dialogue, and interactive breakout sessions aimed at generating actionable solutions and shared frameworks for impact.

The workshop is co-hosted by HESI partners, including UNESCO and the United Nations University, in collaboration with the Expandia project led by Sulitest Association.
