Climate Emotions in Education took place on 13 October 2026 from 17:30 to 19:30 at the Charles Darwin Room, ISGlobal, Barcelona, as part of Barcelona Climate Week 2026. The event explored the emotional dimensions of climate change, particularly for children, young people, educators, and communities. Through research presentations, youth perspectives, educational experiences, and reflective poetry, participants had the opportunity to examine collective approaches to responding to climate-related emotions and fostering a sense of agency. The event was hosted by Dr Giulia Sonetti (ISGlobal) in collaboration with Dr Rachel Yates (Climate Parenting), Polly Graham (Universitat de Barcelona), and Hannah Lapsley (Edinburgh Futures Institute), and forms part of Barcelona Climate Week 2026.
