Science at a Turning Point – IDSSD Global Report

Published on 13 July 2026, Science at a Turning Point: International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development is UNESCO’s global report on the first two years of the International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024–2033). The report highlights how science-led initiatives are mobilizing international cooperation for sustainable development, with 396 initiatives across 79 countries supporting all 17 SDGs. It also warns that persistent global science divides limit participation, especially in countries with fewer research resources, and calls for more inclusive, better-funded and policy-connected science systems.
