SAIT Sustainability Learning Series
The Sustainability Learning Series event “Healing Forests: Cultivating Wellness and Biodiversity” explores the interconnection between ecological restoration and human well-being. Hosted by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), the on-campus session focuses on the concept of micro forests and their role in enhancing urban biodiversity while contributing to improved mental, cultural, and physical health outcomes. Participants are invited to engage with current scientific and practical perspectives on how nature-based solutions can support both environmental regeneration and community well-being.
The event is part of SAIT’s broader commitment to advancing sustainability education and fostering awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those related to sustainable cities, climate action, and life on land.
