“COP29 – Green World” - Scientific-Practical Seminar at MSU

On 9 July 2024, Mingachevir State University (MSU) hosted a scientific-practical seminar titled “COP29 – Green World”, organized by its Department of Physics and Ecology as part of the “Year of Solidarity for a Green World” initiative. The event, aligned with the 29th session of the United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP29), brought together staff from the 8th Regional Ecology and Natural Resources Department (RETSI) and MSU faculty.

Speakers including Dr. Təranə Yusibova and Dr. Vüqar Mustafayev emphasized the goals of COP29, global and local actions to combat climate change, and MSU’s own sustainability research and innovations. Presentations covered topics such as climate awareness, pollution prevention, and the social and political significance of Azerbaijan’s COP29 presidency. The seminar reinforced MSU’s commitment to environmental protection, collaborative action, and promoting ecological awareness among its academic community. It contributed to the SDGs by fostering climate education, awareness, and collaborative action, directly supporting goals such as Climate Action (SDG 13), Quality Education (SDG 4), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
