2030 and beyond: The future of the Sustainable Development Goals
As 2030 approaches, what lies ahead for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?
The University College Dublin (UCD) is organizing a panel discussion as part of their SDG Week running from September 22 to 26, 2025. This panel discussion—hosted by Una Europa and moderated by UCD's Vice President for Sustainability, Prof. Tasman Crowe - brings together thought leaders from academia and policy to reflect on SDG progress and envision bold, inclusive pathways beyond the 2030 agenda. Expect critical insights, future-focused dialogue, and perspectives on what sustainability cooperation could and should look like in the next chapter.
Panelists are Dr Sinead Walsh, principal research fellow for climate at ODI Global; Conor Minogue, energy and climate policy lead for the business group Ibec; Prof Enda Murphy, head of planning at UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy; and Prof Lisa Ryan, professor in energy economics in the UCD School of Economics.
