Founded in 1946, Binghamton University is a public research university in New York and a member of the State University of New York system. Its mission emphasizes student-centered education, diversity, collaborative inquiry, research, creative activity and solutions to global challenges. The university enrolls nearly 19,000 undergraduate and graduate students and employs approximately 2,200 full-time staff, with more than 1,000 faculty members.
