About the EAIE
The European Association for International Education is a non-profit, member-led organisation that has been supporting the internationalisation of higher education since 1989. Based in Amsterdam, it serves as a central hub for professionals working in international education, offering expertise, resources, and networking opportunities across Europe and globally.
At its core, the EAIE is a community of dedicated professionals who collaborate to enhance global academic cooperation. Sustainability at the EAIE
The EAIE supports sustainability in several ways. The organisation has pledged to support three of the United Nations Sustainable development goals (SDGs): SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13 Climate Action. It is a signatorie of both the SDG Accord, which is responds to the Global Goals in the higher education sector, and the CANIE Accord, which supports and promotes reduced carbon footprints in the HE sector.
Moreover, with its #EAIEGreenGoals, the EAIE has promotes sustainable practices in connection to its annual conferences. They utilize recycled and reusable materials to produce conference tags and merch, encourage travel options aside from flying such as trains and bikes when possible.
