UNU-IAS Online Seminar for World Water Day 2026: Water and Gender

On the occasion of World Water Day 2026, UNU-IAS is co-organizing an online seminar on the theme of Water and Gender. The seminar supports the achievement of SDG6 ''water and sanitation for all'', and its sessions will center on how the global water crisis affect women and girls considerably, and how water govening systems leave them out of decision-making, leadership, and representation. This seminar offers several perspectives on these issues, including human rights, gender, environment, disaster risk reduction, and engineering.
