International Cultural Relations Research Alliance (ICRRA)

The International Cultural Relations Research Alliance (ICRRA), established by ifa (Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen) and the British Council in 2019, is a research network connecting institutions, academics, and practitioners working on international cultural relations. The network acts as a bridge between cultural practice, academic research, and policy advice, with a focus on sharing research-based knowledge with policymakers and wider society. Through networking meetings, workshops, conferences, and an open research repository, ICRRA supports international knowledge exchange and gives particular attention to knowledge transfer from the Global South. This makes it relevant to universities interested in cultural relations, decolonial knowledge exchange, public-good research, and more balanced global cooperation.
