Glocal Festa 2025 at Tokai University
Tokai University hosted the Glocal Festa 2025 on October 11, 2025 at its Shonan Campus, attracting around 3,000 visitors. The annual event serves as a major platform for the university to engage with local residents by showcasing academic research, student projects, and community-focused initiatives through hands-on activities and exhibitions.
This year’s festival featured more than 70 programs, including projects on revitalizing Kuriyama Town in Hokkaido, proposals for sustainable lifestyle practices, and demonstrations related to regional disaster preparedness. The event also promoted inclusion and intercultural understanding through dialogue sessions with Paralympic athletes and interactive exchanges with Deaflympics athletes, highlighting the role of sports in fostering accessible and inclusive communities.
The Glocal Festa is a free, multigenerational event designed to strengthen connections between the university and surrounding municipalities while encouraging active local participation in learning and collaboration.
