The Global Alliance on the Science of Learning for Education

The UNESCO Global Alliance on the Science of Learning for Education is an international community of practice launched in January 2024 to strengthen the connection between scientific research and education policy and practice. Bringing together researchers, policymakers, educators, and EdTech developers, the Alliance promotes evidence-informed approaches to curriculum design, pedagogy, and learning environments. It also fosters global collaboration, knowledge exchange, and capacity building, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, while serving as UNESCO's scientific voice in global education discussions. By accelerating the use of research evidence to improve learning outcomes, strengthen education systems, and support inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education for all, the Alliance contributes directly to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
