One Ocean Week at University of Bergen

Between 18-24 April, the IAU HESD Cluster Lead University of Bergen hosted and contributed to the 2026 edition of One Ocean Week, an annual international event held in Bergen, Norway. The event is part of a recurring series scheduled each year through at least 2030.

As an academic partner, the University of Bergen delivers and participates in a wide range of activities, including conferences, seminars, workshops, exhibitions, and public events, many of which are free and open to all. These initiatives bring together stakeholders from research, industry, policy, and civil society, offering over 200 events that promote knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation in ocean sustainability.

Aligned with the United Nations Ocean Decade, the event directly supports the acceleratiion of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 14 (Life Below Water), while advancing SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
