New Humanism in the time of Neuroscience Artificial Intelligence (NHAI project)

New Humanism in the time of Neuroscience Artificial Intelligence (NHAI) project is an international research and dialogue initiative exploring the ethical and societal implications of advances in AI and neuroscience. Coordinated by Lyon Catholic University, with support from the International Federation of Catholic Universities, the project brings together universities, Catholic University of Lille amongst others, and stakeholders across several countries to foster interdisciplinary reflection on what it means to be human in an era of rapid technological change. Through research, debates, workshops, and public engagement, the initiative strengthens ethical capacity-building among academics, policymakers, and civil society. Its first operational cycle ran from 2022 to 2025 and aimed to produce recommendations, publications, and dialogue platforms to guide responsible innovation in AI and neuroscience. The project is ongoing.
