The Technical University of Munich Organises Sustainability Day

The Technical University of Munich (TUM) organized the TUM Sustainability Day as a flagship event that showcases its commitment to sustainability as a central technological and societal transformation challenge. Bringing together researchers, students, staff, and external partners, the university presents over a hundred initiatives spanning research, teaching, campus operations, and entrepreneurship, demonstrating solutions from concept to real-world implementation.

Through interactive formats such as workshops, panel discussions, and a “Fair of Opportunities,” the event fosters collaboration between academia, industry, and society while promoting innovation and knowledge exchange.

Aligned with the 2030 Agenda, TUM Sustainability Day contributes to multiple Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure), and SDG 13 (climate action), by empowering stakeholders to co-create sustainable solutions for the future.
