Strathmore Energy Research Centre

Established in 2012, the Strathmore Energy Research Centre (SERC) is an applied technology lab within Strathmore University, dedicated to advancing renewable energy and energy efficiency across Kenya and the broader East African region.

SERC conducts high-quality research and consultancy, provides accredited professional training, supports laboratory testing, and leads project development in the renewable energy sector. Through its multidisciplinary approach, the Centre actively collaborates with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and the wider public to accelerate the clean energy transition.
