Energy Conclave 2025
The Energy Conclave 2025, held on 20–21 September 2025 at the Department of Economics, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, brought together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders and academics to deliberate on “India’s Energy Landscape and Energy Transition towards Security and Sustainability through Synergistic Approaches.” The conclave explored key national priorities - achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2070 - through themes such as energy security, renewable energy, technology innovation, policy & finance, and community engagement. Discussions highlighted the role of universities in advancing sustainable energy research and education, the promise of green hydrogen and digital technologies, and the importance of interdisciplinary, globally collaborative pathways for a resilient and inclusive clean-energy future.
