Increasing Mental Health and Well-being at the Workplace - Research initiative by Leuphana Universität Lüneburg
Associates at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg are in the process of establishing a research group which focuses on mental health in the workplace in a time of multiple ongoing crises.
Specifically focused on teachers, the research group will investigate how teachers can be better supported and empowered to help trainees develop health-related design skills for their future working lives. The project seeks to equip trainees with skills and competencies that promote health and well-being at the workplace, which, among other, include reflecting on their own behavior and to actively contributing to shaping the conditions at their place of work.
This research initiative aligns with several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG3 which regards good health and well-being, SDG4 focused on quality education, and SDG8 which concerns decent work and economic growth, and contributes to the achievement of these goals and a future of long-term health for workers.
