University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW), tracing its heritage to 1874 and formally established in its current form in 1994, is Berlin’s largest public university of applied sciences, educating approximately 15,000 students with a staff of over 900 employees. The university’s mission emphasizes that ecological and social issues are integral to its educational mandate, combining interdisciplinary teaching and applied research. It offers about 80 practice-oriented bachelor’s and master’s programmes in business, engineering, computer science, design, culture, health, energy & environment, law, and construction.
