Campus Climate Survey on Personal and Social Responsibility

The Research Institute for Studies in Education (RISE) at Iowa State University invites AAC&U member institutions to sign up now in order to administer the Personal and Social Responsibility Inventory (PSRI) on campus during the 2014 winter semester.

The PSRI is a campus climate survey designed to help colleges and universities know how well they are addressing this essential learning outcome. Developed by Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) and now administered at Iowa State, the PSRI illuminates five key dimensions of personal and social responsibility:

  • striving for excellence;
  • cultivating academic integrity;
  • contributing to a larger community;
  • taking seriously the perspectives of others; and
  • developing competence in ethical and moral reasoning and action.

Participating campuses will receive full technical support for administering the survey from RISE, along with copies of their own data and customized analyses that will help them ensure that their campus is providing opportunities for students to increase their growth in personal and social responsibility.
