The Sustainability Theme of the Month Project
The Sustainability Theme of the Month initiative at Corvinus University of Budapest continues in autumn 2025, exploring a new sustainability topic each month through articles, visions, challenges, and events. Launched over two years ago, the project aims to simplify complex environmental and social issues by presenting them in a focused, engaging way, and connecting them to university life and community action. Each month features vision pieces - short, inspiring future scenarios written by the community - alongside factual insights to understand current challenges and practical challenges that encourage individual and collective action.
Planned Themes for Autumn 2025:
- September: Water – The Source of Life and Humanity
- October: Food – Fair Harvest and Sustainable Eating
- November: Circularity – Dilemmas in Waste Reduction
- December: Gifts – Conscious Giving and Donating During the Holidays
The initiative promotes hopeful sustainability narratives, encourages bottom-up participation, and invites students and staff to contribute ideas, events, or content to build a collaborative sustainability network.
