The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) has released a summary report presenting stakeholder contributions to the Global Sustainable Development Report (GSDR) 2027. The report draws on 347 submissions from participants in 78 countries, representing a broad range of sectors, including civil society, academia, science and technology, the private sector, and youth organizations. The IAU was pleased to be one of the actors providing input.
The report outlines key stakeholder priorities for sustainable development, recommendations for accelerating progress toward and beyond 2030, suggestions to enhance the relevance and impact of the GSDR, and insights on challenges and lessons learned in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It also compiles scientific resources and references proposed for consideration by the Independent Group of Scientists preparing the GSDR 2027.
