2026 French National Symposium for the Ocean Decade

The 4th edition of the National Symposium of the United Nations Decade for Ocean Science, organised by the Ministry of Ecological Transition, Biodiversity, Forest, Sea and Fisheries and Océanopolis, will be held on September 30 and October 1  at Océanopolis Brest .

This national symposium aims to bring together the French professional community around ocean sciences, to promote exchanges and expertise between committed actors, and to share this knowledge with other stakeholders, in order to achieve the sustainable development goals by 2030, in particular SDG 14 - Life Below Water on the conservation of marine and coastal ecosystems.

The program includes roundtables addressing themes on the link between ocean science and action at both the Earth-Sea continuum level and the political level.
