IAU& SDSN Workshops on the SDG Impact Assesment tool

IAU& SDSN Workshops on the SDG Impact Assesment tool

From : Wednesday, June 29 2022
To : Thursday, June 30 2022

The SDG Impact Assessment Tool is a free, online, learning tool that visualises the results from a self-assessment of how an activity, organisation or innovation affect the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to stimulate the user to get a better understanding of the complexity of sustainable development and the different aspects of the SDGs. In the end you will be better equipped to prioritize actions ahead.

In this workshop you will get to try the tool yourself. The creators team will start by presenting and demonstrating the tool. You will then get to try working with the tool in smaller groups. By using a made-up case, you will get to practice on how to make a good object description, how to do an initial sorting of how the object relates to the SDGs, and how to reason when you are to decide if the impact on each SDG is positive/negative, direct/indirect, or if more knowledge is needed.

You will learn:

  • The five steps you need to go through when you are making an SDG impact assessment.
  • How to use the tool.
  • How the tool can be applied for different users.

The workshop will be held in English and is open to anyone. It is free of charge but registration is mandatory. We accept 60 participants.
