The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Partnership for Environment and Disaster Risk Reduction (PEDRR) will be extending their course on ‘Nature-based Solutions for Disaster and Climate Resilience’, hosted on the SDG Academy/edX platform, thanks to support from the European Union.
The course already has more than 50,000 participants from 192+ countries and was launched in January 2021. Due to popular demand, the course will now be extended until the end of 2022.
The course on ‘Nature-based Solutions for Disaster and Climate Resilience’ aims to inform people about the value of Nature-based Solution in combatting the climate crisis as well as to call them to action. It contains 6 hours of free learning materials, with exclusive interviews with world leaders. After completing the course participants receive a UNEP Certificate.
