of Allameh Tabataba'i University to answer a part of the research needs of the country in 1996 as the Center for Iranian Economic Research at the Faculty of Economics of Allameh Tababae'i University. The activity of the center has entered a new stage since 1391. In 2012, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, was merged with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance, dated 23/21/2012. The Institute of Economic Sciences now has a definite resolution of the Council on the Promotion of Higher Education with four research groups. Now the Institute continues to operate under the name of Allameh Tabataba'i University.
