Sustainable Development Goals

Objectives of the Faculty of Geosciences and Environment:

a. The first objective is to create professionals and cadres who will be the caretakers of the natural resources of Somalia and its environment. These professionals will work, investigate, extract and exploit the natural resources hidden beneath its ground and oceans. Somalia must utilize its resources: water, mineral, oil and gas to benefit of its people, thus creating prosperity and wealth.

b. Secondly, the cadres must minimize the damage to the environment and stand to protect it while they are on the other hand actively engaged in exploiting the resources.

c . To enable the Faculty to carry out researches and provide essential information for solving problems and establishing governmental policies for recourse management, environmental protection and public health and safety and welfare.
