Students from Siam University, Thailand, were awarded for their innovations during the UN SDGs Ideathon for Bio-Healthcare Solutions. The Ideathon is an international, sustainability-driven innovation competition where university students collaborate to design impactful healthcare solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Participants work in diverse global teams through workshops, mentoring, and intensive project development, culminating in final pitches evaluated by experts.

Held in January 2026 at Daegu Health College in South Korea, the event highlights how innovation in health sciences can contribute to long-term, sustainable development. Three Siam University students received awards for their contributions, they took home the First place prize and a sustainability award, an innovation award, and First runner-up prize and sustainability award.

The ideathon emphasizes sustainable healthcare innovation, encouraging solutions that are not only medically effective but also socially and environmentally responsible. The Siam students demonstrate how their university fosters the development of skills necessary for cross-cultural collaboration, practical problem-solving, and scalable ideas that support resilient health systems, demonstrating how youth-led innovation can advance global sustainability agendas.
